Traditional versus Transformational Leadership
The needs of the team and the individual worker has changed but in many cases the management/leadership style of the leader has not changed. The traditional style of top-down leadership is no longer effective or motivating. There is a need for a new style of management/leadership called transformational leadership. In this new model each persons capacity is determined and there is a sincere effort to maximized their potential.
Generation Gap
There is a growing generation gap in the workplace. This gap is adversely effecting profitability. Employees are rapidly changing companies which is cost billions of dollars in lost productivity. There are three distinct groups; baby boomers, X and Y generation. The baby boomers own and/or manage the majority of the companies. The X and Y work for these companies. The baby boomers see the working world quite differently than they X and Y people. This topic is of great interest to many managers and leaders around the world.
James is available to present to workshops, seminars, national and international companies and organizations.
